Our goal as fifth grade teachers is to foster the students' self-sufficiency, in both academic and personal pursuits. We are dedicated to instilling a sense of responsibility, a good work ethic, and an accepting attitude towards all people. We encourage students to develop their talents in academics in the classroom, while challenging their talents during and after school hours.
Fifth grade is an exciting and challenging year! Students will be given many opportunities to become responsible, independent learners in preparation for their transition to middle school. We will also enjoy participating in the Super Kids program and taking several fun field trips. Here's a glance at the curriculum:
English Language Arts
