Principal's Message
It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself to you as your Principal of the new Lake Como School K-8. I come into this position with a clear understanding of how exceptional our school is and that we are successful because of your commitment to your children and their academic success. As Principal, we will continue to focus on what is best for students. I am truly honored to be in this position and truly enjoy working with our dedicated staff, committed and involved parents, students, and the entire school community in providing the best possible education for our students.
I began my educational career in Cobb County, Georgia as a middle and high school teacher for 7 years. I then became an Assistant Principal and remained in that position for 5 years. I worked as a district administrator for 2 years as well then relocated to the Sunshine State. I worked as an Assistant Principal for 3 years in Orange County prior to my first position as Principal of Lake Como Elementary. As I am beginning my 5th year as a principal, I'm very proud and honored to serve the students, staff, families and community of Lake Como School K-8.
It is important that we work together to give our children the best opportunity to become self-motivated learners and productive citizens. Parents, teachers, support staff and administration all play an important role in encouraging our children to become active learners. Through a partnership with everyone associated with Lake Como, I am confident that our students can continue to learn and grow as we uphold our district's vision.
As the instructional leader of our school, I believe parental involvement is vital as we work collaboratively to provide an excellent education for your student. I value and appreciate the opportunity to serve the community and families of Lake Como School K-8.
It is exciting to be back in Florida as I was raised in Tampa. I'm married with one son who keeps me very busy. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, exercising, and following NFL football. I am a huge Atlanta Falcons fan!!
